Luka & Emily at the WTT Youth Contender in Luxembourg

Great performance by Emily and Luka at the WTT Youth Contender in Luxembourg!

In their first WTT Contender tournament our two young talents Emily and Luka really delivered!

Emily competed in two age groups: U13 and U15.
In the U13, she played strongly and achieved two wins and one defeat in the group stage. Unfortunately, she narrowly missed out on qualifying for the main round due to a poor set ratio – unlucky!
But in the U15, she fought her way courageously through the group stage, advanced to the knockout round and even made it to the quarter-finals! There, she lost to the eventual tournament winner Amelie Jia, but what Emily has shown already proves: there is more to come!

Luka also competed in two age groups: U11 and U13.
In the U13, he finished the group stage in second place and thus advanced to the final round. In the round of 16, he faced his best friend Junde Zang – an exciting duel that unfortunately did not go in his favour.
His performance in the U11 outstanding! With victories against young players from Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Australia, he fought his way to the semi-finals. There, he was ultimately defeated by the eventual champion from France – but in the end, he secured a fantastic bronze medal!

We are extremely proud of both of them and delighted with their strong performances in their first international tournament.
